Pure Frankincense essential oil 100%, 10ml

This pure frankincense essential oil is steam-distilled from the resin of the Boswellia carterii tree of the Burseraceae family and is also known as olibanum.

The ancient Egyptians burned frankincense as sacred incense and used it as a facial mask. They ground the burned resin into a powder called kohl, which was used to enhance the eyes. Kohl-lined eyes are common in Egyptian art. The earliest record of frankincense use was found in a funerary inscription of the Egyptian Queen Hatshepsut from the 15th century BC.

It helps heal wounds and prevent scars. It is used to tone the face, remove wrinkles, and prevent stretch marks in cosmetic products.

Frankincense essential oil is also used to relieve anxiety, stress, asthma, bronchitis, laryngitis, and bad coughs.

It is a general tonic. It is most useful during meditation.
